Joshua R. Coggeshall, A.I.A.
Principal
Joshua has practiced architecture for the past thirty years in Texas, California, and Indiana. He has been a partner and collaborator in the firm Shimizu + Coggeshall Architects starting in 2004, prior to that he was principal of the design/build firm COG WORK SHOP beginning in 2001. Joshua has been directly involved with over fifteen national AIA + Progressive Architecture awarded projects. He holds a Masters of Architecture degree from SCI-Arc where he was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Gold medal. He also holds a degree in Environmental Design from Texas A+M University. Coggeshall is a committed educator who has taught at SCI-Arc, Woodbury University, Otis College of Art + Design, and Ball State University. His students have earned multiple national awards and competitions for their design and research.
Joshua is a licensed Architect in the State of Indiana.
Janice Shimizu A.I.A.
Principal
Licensed in both Indiana and California, Janice has worked on an array of programs, scales, and conditions: theaters, science buildings, schools, and multiple residences. She is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Architecture at Ball State University and was an adjunct faculty member at the University of South California (USC). She holds a Masters of Architecture degree from SCI-Arc and graduated from the University of Manitoba Environmental Design program.
